There's a surprise twist heading for today's Neighbours as Ramsay Street's Ned Willis makes the surprise decision to leave town...

Today's Neighbours sees Ramsay Street residents turning against Ned Willis, leading to him making the shocking decision to leave Erinsborough.

Ned's become public enemy number one in Neighbours thanks to his role in the recent gas poisoning fiasco in the community centre.

The gas attack, which it has been revealed was set up by an enemy of Finn Kelly called Harry Sinclair, lead to countless people being hurt, namely Ned's girlfriend, Bea Nilsson.

It was then revealed yesterday that Ned helped Harry set up the attack in an attempt to frame Finn and get him sent back to jail, but the plan went horribly wrong when Harry went against his word and released the gasses.

Today's episode sees Bea confront Ned about his vendetta against Finn, and ends up breaking off their relationship after confessing she doesn't trust him any more.

Ned is devastated that his hate for Finn has cost him his relationship with Bea, but his heartache doesn't end there.

Karl Kennedy also makes it very clear that he doesn't want Ned anywhere near the Kennedys' home or Bea, and Ned feels awful that his thoughtless actions almost indirectly got Bea killed.

Ned later has a run in with Finn in Harold's, where the reformed criminal tells Ned that he doesn't hate him for trying to frame him, even though he should.

Finn's new Mr Nice Guy persona is the last straw for Ned and he decides it would be better for everyone if he just left town.

Terese is shocked to come home and find Ned with his bags packed, and despite giving him a dressing down for his behaviour earlier, she tries to persuade him to stay in Ramsay Street and face the music.

But will Terese be able to stop Ned running away from what he has done?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5
