Soap fans FRUSTRATED after THIS shocking twist in last night's Coronation Street

Fan have been left desperately waiting for Friday night's Coronation Street to air...

Last night's Coronation Street double bill has left soap fans frustrated after Michelle Connor continually failed to put two and two together and work out that fiancé Robert Preston is cheating on her.

Viewers were on tenterhooks after Monday night's trip to Weatherfield when Michelle finally seemed to be getting closer to discovering Robert's double life when she found a 'Big Daddy' necklace amongst his belongings at the hospital.

The plot thickened when he was being whisked into surgery, and he started mumbling about his 'other baby' while dosed up on morphine.

With Robert's lies starting to fall apart around him, it seems last night would be the night that Michelle pieced the puzzle together and worked out that he was having an affair. However in a shock twist she still failed to work it out, and fans were left frustrated that it is taking her so long...

Last night's Coronation Street saw Michelle bombarded with more clues that Robert has been playing away.

After Robert managed to talk his way out of why he was in Macclesfield when he'd told Michelle that he was in Sandbach, he then lied that the 'Big Daddy' necklace was a joke present from some friends.

Michelle seemed to be placated for a while, but Robert's stress levels went through the roof as Michelle and Vicky played musical chairs by his bedside, each managing to narrowly miss one another as they visited Robert at the hospital.

However, the truth finally came out when the nurse joked to Michelle that Robert had been getting lots of visitors, dropping Robert in it by mentioning his other female visitor.

But even the nurse asking Michelle if she was his sister didn't seem to help the penny drop, and by the end of the episode she knew something was amiss, but was still struggling to put all the clues together.
