Our Girl, 9.10pm, BBC1
There’s a change of scenery for Georgie (Michelle Keegan) and 2-Section tonight as they leave behind the stress of their gruelling Nigeria mission for a routine training exercise in Belize. But while there’s some downtime for the gang (and time for one or two ill-advised drinks at a local bar), Captain James (Ben Aldridge) faces stern words from his superior after an inquiry into Elvis’ death. And there’s worse to come: while on a dummy mission in the jungle, James steps on a trap and finds himself injured and stranded. With only Georgie by his side, and enemies lurking, can they make it out alive? Rating: ****
Return to South Africa, 9pm, ITV
To mark what would have been Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday in July, Sir Trevor McDonald revisits South Africa in this film exploring the anti-apartheid leader’s legacy. As well as visiting the former South African president’s home – now very much a tourist attraction – and the prison cell on Robben Island where Mandela spent 18 years, Sir Trevor visits Soweto’s townships to see if the country is any closer to becoming the rainbow nation Mandela hoped for. With poverty, crime and racial division still in evidence, this is sometimes uncomfortable viewing, but Sir Trevor sees flashes of hope in a thriving housing market and revitalised democracy. Rating: ****
Ackley Bridge, 8pm, C4
