The roller-coaster life story of boxer "Iron" Mike Tyson is told in this impressive series, which launches as part of Disney Plus Day and stars Moonlight’s Trevante Rhodes as the former heavyweight champion. With the framing device of Tyson appearing in a one-man stage show, we start with his troubled 1970s Brooklyn childhood, which included domestic violence, poverty and crime, before an encounter with a trainer in prison sets the delinquent Tyson on a new course, as he’s taken on by veteran Cus D’Amato (Harvey Keitel). A gripping tale, it features Grimm’s Russell Hornsby as flamboyant promoter Don King.

The flying medics are needed again when a major incident is called following a suspected gas explosion, stretching resources to the limit. But the calls keep on coming, leading paramedic Chris to reflect on how the Ambulance Service is also filling the cracks for struggling GP and social care services.

Hi-Diddle-Dee-Dee - it’s another star-studded remake to mark Disney Plus Day, when special new content is added to the streaming service. On the back of recent hit reboots, including Beauty and the Beast and Dumbo, comes director Robert Zemeckis’ enchanting retelling of 1940 animation Pinocchio, which blends live action and CGI to breathe new life into the classic story. Tom Hanks is perfectly cast as Geppetto, the lonely woodcarver who makes a puppet and wishes for him to be a real boy. When the Blue Fairy (Cynthia Erivo) appears and brings the toy to life, Pinocchio must learn to do what’s right before he can become real.
