Cultures collide when two ethnically diverse schools join forces in this Channel 4's new drama starring Jo Joyner and Paul Nicholls

Set in a Yorkshire mill town, this new six-part series sees two very different schools brought together as one new academy – Ackley Bridge College. Ambitious head teacher Mandy Carter (Jo Joyner) wants to make it work, but pupils and teachers alike are finding the new regime difficult.

Friendships are tested, relationships strained, skeletons released from closets – and that's just the teachers!

Paul Nicholls plays Mandy's husband, PE teacher Steve, who's struggling with Mandy's blossoming relationship with school sponsor Sadiq (Adil Ray) as well as trying to deal with unruly pupils more interested in disruption than education.
