Casualty clinical lead, Connie Beauchamp, faces a difficult decision about the future as she receives more bad news about her heart tumour…

It’s well known medics make the worst patients and Holby City ED clinical lead, Connie Beauchamp, is no exception! This week Connie’s private Cardiologist, Doctor Simon Feathering (DoctorsNicholas Boulton) confirms she has a serious heart tumour and recommends immediate surgery - both to treat the tumour and find out for certain if it’s malignant. Connie, however, has a crisis of confidence. She certainly doesn’t want her Holby City colleague Jac Naylor performing the operation, even though she’s one of the best in the business, and insists on a referral outside of Holby…

Later, while working at the ED, quietly confused and distressed Connie discusses the case of the heart tumour ‘patient’ with Doctor Ethan Hardy, who doesn’t realise Connie (Amanda Mealing) is the patient in question! Ethan (George Rainsford) agrees with Dr Feathering and also advises the ‘patient’ has emergency surgery. Secretly fearful Connie, however, begins to convince herself surgery is too dangerous and ignores Dr Feathering’s calls. With her emotions getting the better of her, will Connie refuse the risky, life-saving treatment?

Elsewhere, doctor Dylan Keogh and nurse David Hide are in danger of being rumbled by Louise this week when they attempt to treat Sanosi in the ED after a fall. Will Louise remember Sanosi (Tut Nyuot) from the French refugee camp and realise Dylan and David are behaving suspiciously because they smuggled him into the UK?

Also this week, Elle is loved up and doesn’t care who knows it! Although she's learning quickly that the dating landscape has changed a lot in recent years…

Alicia is forging ahead with her driving lessons but everyone has their doubts she’ll be ready for her test.

And Lily battles with the green-eyed monster, as she watches her boyfriend Iain and his ex, Sam, getting on like a house on fire…
