Doctors spoilers: Dr Sid Vere drops a SHOCK bombshell on Mrs Tembe!
After his one-night stand with Zara and getting punched by her hubby Daniel, Sid's had enough and makes a BIG decision...
It's not exactly been a good start to the New Year for Dr Sid Vere. There was his one-night stand with boss Zara Carmichael at Christmas, which resulted in Sid getting punched at the surgery by her angry husband Daniel Granger!
Still nursing a black eye from the punch-up, Sid's problems continue when he tries to refer a difficult patient to Daniel but once again finds himself on the wrong side of the angry medic and gets shouted at.
Sid decides enough is enough and drops a shock announcement on surgery practice manager, Mrs Tembe. Could he be about to quit his job at The Mill?
Meanwhile, Dr Emma Reid gets a visit from Alia Hanif, daughter of surgery midwife Ruhma Carter.
Alia is still troubled after her bust-up with Ruhma over her mum's plans to sell the family home after the death of Ruhma's husband Dr Heston Carter last year. Alia is furious Ruhma appears to be moving on from Heston so quickly.
Can Emma find a way to help mum and daughter through their grief over losing Heston?
Elsewhere, surgery receptionist Valerie Pitman tries to help when a young woman, Ruby Summerfield, visits The Mill after twisting her ankle.
But it soon becomes clear there's a whole lot more going on and Ruby is struggling to cope in the aftermath of a death in the family.
Doctors continues weekdays at 1:45pm on BBC One
