Life in Syria through the eyes of one young mum – a documentary like nothing you've ever seen before
For Sama is an extraordinary film made by Syrian journalist Waad al-Kateab (Saturday, 9pm, see our TV Guide for full details).
Sama is her baby daughter, who was born during the siege of Aleppo – a beautiful baby girl living in amongst the terror of war.
It’s remarkable because this intimate and raw film captures the absolutely heart-wrenching horror of the siege, the immediate aftermath of air strikes, the injuries, the death, the grief, the blood, the screaming and the sickening unfairness of innocent children being slaughtered.
