As Evan Crowhurst fights for life after being stabbed, girlfriend Chloe Godard fears she's going to lose the man she loves…

During times of great emotional turmoil for Chloe Godard, boyfriend Evan Crowhurst has always been there to pick up the pieces – with Chloe unaware these are all just attempts to control her. But Evan's efforts to 'protect' Chloe, this week, leave him battling for his life.

Chloe's keen to impress Jac Naylor, who reckons the young medic has the makings of a great surgeon. So when Jac hears Evan (Jack Ryder) plans to apply for a consultant's job to be close to Chloe, she thinks it’s a bad idea and tells Chloe that if she wants to progress she'll need to knuckle down – and that there's no room for boyfriends!

Chloe throws herself into her work but runs into problems when a patient, Karen, becomes extremely aggressive towards her. When Evan witnesses Chloe being threatened, he feels forced to step in.

Evan’s interference, though, only makes Karen more irate and, as he tries to calm her down, she picks up a pair of medical scissors and stabs him in the chest! Chloe’s in turmoil and genuinely fears Evan might die.
