It’s Christmas time in Moybeg, and everyone seems preoccupied with their own problems.

Rose must consider how to deal with Captain Dreyfuss, Emma is worried about introducing her new beau to the family, and Michael fears for the future of the pub when he discovers he must buy back the licence.

Meanwhile, news of a children’s party set to be held at the American aerodrome does nothing for the Christmas spirit of the local adults, who are wondering why they have not been invited along as well.

This charming, low-key Sunday-night period drama certainly had a hard act to follow in Poldark, but we would love to see it return for a second series.
