Ronnie Mitchell is released!

Ronnie is out of prison today and Roxy is anxious, knowing she needs to tell Alfie she wants Ronnie at home. Alfie shares his concerns about Ronnie's release with Kat, who claims she's not bothered. When Roxy finally confesses, Alfie goes ballistic, reminding Roxy what it was like to lose Tommy. A devastated Roxy promises everyone that she won't bring Ronnie home. Meanwhile, Ronnie leaves the prison gates to find Kat waiting...

Ian confesses to a shocked Denise that he's the witness in Max's case. Not knowing that Ian is lying for Carl, Denise reassures him he did the right thing. Full of guilt, Ian takes food to the Brannings', making Kirsty suspicious. Ian panics when Kirsty tells Dot the witness is a set up and through Jack's police contacts they'll find out who it is. Later, Kirsty overhears Denise telling Kim that Ian is the witness!

Shirley tells Denise, Kim and Jean that she's moving to Greece. Surprised, Jean questions Shirley further, who admits she stole thousands of pounds from Phil's safe. Shirley goes to the hospital after hearing Jay telling Carl that Phil is on the mend. Finding Carl already at his bedside, a suspicious Shirley intervenes.
