The actor and presenter begins his journey in Kenya where he explores his African roots and the controversial interracial marriage between his grandparents Meraj, who came from what is now Pakistan, and Aisha, who was from Uganda.

As he then visits Uganda to discover the truth behind a family story about Aisha's separation from her mother, he also investigates rumours that she was related to Ugandan royalty.
