Callum Kane dies in Hollyoaks Later

Hollyoaks killed off a regular characters, Callum Kane, in one of this week's Hollyoaks Later episodes.

The week-long run of late night episodes saw Callum, played by Laurie Duncan, meet a violent end at the hands of crazed teen Jade Hedy (Lucy Gape), according to Digital Spy.

Another of the show's characters, Esther Bloom (Jazmine Franks), had been taken hostage by Jade, who was fixated on her after she had had a liver transplant from Jade's late boyfriend.

When a brave Callum tried to save Esther, Jade plunged a samurai sword into his chest, which shocked viewers as his exit hadn't previously been announced.

The storyline will conclude tonight as Esther, her girlfriend Tilly Evans (Lucy Dixon) and their friend Holly Cunningham (Wallis Day) remain in grave danger from Jade.

Callum had been a character in Hollyoaks since 2011.
