Corrie
As fire raged through the Peacock house, Jamie Baldwin (Rupert Hill) and Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment) kicked the door down and dragged unconscious Claire Peacock (Julia Haworth) to safety. The locals stood watching in shock as fire fighters arrived to put out the blaze.
Claire was rushed to hospital, her life hanging in the balance, as Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver), Ashley Peacock (Steven Arnold) and his son Joshua kept vigil at her bedside.
Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) invited John Stape (Graeme Hawley) over for dinner but there was more than food on the menu. They were getting up close and personal when Maria Sutherland (Samia Longhambon) walked in on them. Maria was livid and told Fiz to come clean to her brother Kirk before he heard about the affair from anyone else…
Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) returned to the village and realised Eddie had fed him a pack of lies about Viv (Deena Payne) saying their marriage was over. But Viv wasn't in the mood to listen to Bob's excuses and chucked her wedding ring away…
Policewoman Donna Dingle (Verity Rushworth) was far from impressed when Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) tried to bribe her after she pulled him over for speeding. This was a woman who couldn't be bought - and instead she arrested him for the offence!
Jo Stiles (Roxanne Pallett) had a row with lover Andy Sugden and escaped on a spa day with her mate Sharon. She blew their rent money on pampering, but was shocked when Sharon's fiancé Dan McHerron (Patrick Molyneux) tried it on with her and chucked a glass of champagne over him.

Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) rescued Peter Beale after their car crashed into a river and paramedics took them all to hospital. Peter woke up at A&E and dad Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) was so grateful he gave Phil a big hug! Probably for the first and last time…
