Emmerdale star Louisa Clein teases the massive moment Maya is caught out
'Will she run away and hide or try to defend herself?,' says Louisa, who plays Maya
Emmerdale actress Louisa Clein says there’s “no going back” for Maya Stepney when she’s caught out with Jacob Gallagher by one of the girls.
During next week’s “Big Night Out” episodes, Maya is talked into going out clubbing by David - among the other partygoers are Priya, Victoria, Rhona and Leyla - with disastrous consequences.
Maya works out that David (Matthew Wolfenden) is planning to propose and Louisa reveals she then puts him down in “brutal” fashion.
“David says they should try to enjoy each other,” says Louisa. “But she blurts out, ‘Please don’t propose to me now; in fact, don’t propose to me ever!,' which is incredibly brutal and painful for David, who walks away and gets very drunk.”
David hits the bottle and then ends up kissing his ex Tracy (Amy Walsh), with a shocked Maya looking on. Furious, Maya leaves the club and is stunned to find Jacob there, who’s meant to be in Portugal after being supposedly packed off by his dad.
Having already been caught out by Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele), you’d imagine the twisted teacher had learnt her lesson about being careful in case someone is watching...

But, oh no, in her fury after spying David with Tracy, she decides to get close again to Jacob in public!
However, she’s spotted by one of the other girls who’s out and Louisa says this spells disaster for Maya.
“There’s no going back and it’s about how Maya deals with that,” explains Louisa. “Will she run away and hide or try to defend herself? And will she get that opportunity?
“The girls all have their own personal agendas as to how they’d like to deal with her.”
Will they report her to the police? Or might they come up with a violent solution?
Emmerdale continues on ITV.
