There's drama in Neighbours next week when Chloe Brennan's ex, Pierce Greyson, returns to Ramsay Street...

Chloe Brennan is left shocked when she comes face-to-face with her ex, Pierce Greyson (Tim Robards) in next week's Neighbours, and it soon becomes clear that there is mystery surrounding his return to Ramsay Street.

Neighbours fans will remember Chloe got together with Pierce towards the end of last year when he was a client of hers through her infamous dating service.

But as the pair spent more time together, the millionaire businessman started to fall for Chloe's charms, but sadly the feeling wasn't reciprocated.

Still reeling from the shock of learning she had Huntington's Disease, Chloe wasn't in the right place for a long-term relationship and their romance ended after Pierce took Chloe on a trip to a ski resort and declared his love for her.

But having not heard from Pierce since she fled their log cabin in the snow, Chloe is set for a shock next week when she discovers Pierce is back in Erinsborough.

Chloe is immediately thrown by the news her ex is back in town, and starts to wonder if he has come back to try and win her affections once again.

But as she sets up a chance meeting with Pierce, she is surprised - and a little miffed - when he leaves after just a short time, throwing her idea of him returning to woo her back out of the window.

But if Pierce isn't back for Chloe, what has made him return after all this time?

As Chloe starts to wonder if her businessman ex is just playing hard to get, she finds herself caught up in drama at home when Elly tells Mark the truth about him not being the father of her unborn baby.

Chloe is devastated that she can't be there to help pick up the pieces for either her brother or Elly considering that part she played in the downfall of their marriage, and she ends up surprising herself by confiding in Pierce when she seems him next.

Pierce can see Chloe needs a shoulder to cry on and is happy to help, but instead of using Chloe's vulnerability to his advantage, he simply offers advice and leaves.

Chloe is sure that she will get a text from him to follow up on their conversation - but she doesn't hear a thing, throwing her completely.

But if mysterious Pierce isn't back for Chloe, what has caused him to return?

Neighbours bosses have confirmed that the character has returned to the soap for good this time... so it seems we have got plenty of time to work out what he's hiding!

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5
