"I want to prove to everybody that this old biddy has still got it," says 61-year-old Fatima Whitbread as she takes her place alongside 13 other famous faces for this condensed version of SAS selection. And, by goodness, has she still got it! The former Olympic javelin gold-medallist embodies resilience, strength and determination and is soon impressing the Directing Staff and showing the much younger recruits alongside her how it’s done. Day one starts with CS gas exposure, fighting, lots of running in the heat and being shouted at by the DS. Fatima hardly breaks a sweat.

Gino's Italy: Like Mamma Used to Make, 7.30 pm (times vary), ITV

Gino D’Acampo has been quite the jet-setter this summer, filming not one but two deliziosi series for fans. Gino’s Italy: Like Mamma Used to Make finds the TV chef in his element as he journeys around his homeland, learning from some of the country’s feistiest and funniest matriarchs. Meeting his no-nonsense aunts Lina and Rita – who tell him "talk less, cook more" – sets the tone for this fun food odyssey. It kicks off in Naples, Gino’s birthplace, where he reveals his favourite pizza spot and a naughty childhood secret! The banter continues on This Morning (Tuesday, 10am, ITV) as Gino invites us into his Sardinian villa for a four-part series. Bellissimo!

The Capture, season 2, 9 pm, BBC One

We really wouldn’t like to be in the shoes of MP Isaac Turner (Paapa Essiedu) right now! The high-flying Security Minister has been the victim of ‘correction’ twice on Newsnight and has ended up with egg on his face after the faked footage made him look like he was in favour of racial profiling. While Isaac tries to deal with the shocking consequences, DCI Rachel Carey (Holliday Grainger) is now even more determined to get to the bottom of who is behind the hacking, but there’s a race against time to try to stop a suspect, and events soon take an even more troubling turn… Continues tomorrow.

Ridley, 8 pm, ITV

Ridley’s on the case when a body is found on moorland

The dramatic, wintry landscapes of northern England that provide the atmospheric backdrop for this crime drama, starring Line of Duty’s Adrian Dunbar as the titular troubled ex-cop, gave episode one of the series a ‘northern noir’ feel. There’s more of the same from the off in this week’s second outing, as DI Carol Farman (Bronagh Waugh) calls on her former mentor for assistance with another investigation when the body of a young woman is found on a bleak Pennine moorland. It’s a satisfyingly complex case, and an off-duty Ridley treats us to another haunting Richard Hawley song in his jazz-club retreat.

RuPaul oversees proceedings.

Drag Race star RuPaul hosts this celebrity version of the popular quiz ahead of Adil Ray’s weekday series due later in the autumn. For the uninitiated, the Wordle-style game involves three teams of two players having to guess four- or five-letter words in just five attempts, and if they guess the correct word, they win cash – hopefully, lots of it – which in this case is for charity! Among the celeb pairings this series are Vernon Kay and Michelle Visage, Faye Tozer and H from Steps, and Lawrence Chaney and The Vivienne.
