We think Michael Rodwell’s shock death will be the beginning of the end for Pat Phelan. But who will finish him off?
Michael Rodwell (Les Dennis) had a big heart, but it wasn’t strong enough to take on the mean, menacing, cold-blooded conman Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre), who watched as Michael lay dying of a heart attack in Corrie last night.
Michael finally had proof that Phelan and his dirty-dealing partner Vinny (Ian Kelsey) had ripped off half of Coronation Street and were about to do a runner to Mexico with their money. But Phelan caught him and Michael had a heart attack as he desperately tried to get away.
Phelan thinks he’s in the clear, but we already know Vinny is about to disappear without him – and with all the money.
Where will that leave Phelan?
We don’t think he’ll make it to Mexico… And there are a lot of locals who have lost a lot of money. We think the hunt for Phelan will be on – and whoever finds him could take a killer revenge! And that could spark a whodunit murder mystery on the Street!
Here’s who we think could be the prime suspects…
Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) put money into Phelan’s phantom flats to start a new home for herself, daughter Bethany and son Harry. We don’t think she’s capable of killing – but we think her brother David (Jack P Shepherd) is… And her half-brother, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) has a violent temper following his brain injury.
Jenny Bradley (Sally Ann Matthews) She didn’t invest in the flats but Rita Littlewood (Barbara Knox) did on her behalf. Rita wanted to provide a home for her former foster daughter, Jenny. Now, we know Jenny can be a nasty piece of work – and she might just be nasty enough to kill Phelan for fleecing her “mum” Rita.
Zeedan Nazir (Qasim Akhtar) He is one angry young man… His grandfather took money from the family business to buy a flat for his mistress. The business, a gym started by Zeedan’s late father, is now struggling to survive. Let down by his granddad and cheated by Phelan, would Zeedan make a fatal mistake to get revenge?
Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) Eileen has lost all of son Jason’s money by trusting her fella, Phelan. How much would she want to hurt him if she found out he cheated her? And what about Todd? He’s part of the scam but no one knows that. Would he kill Phelan to make sure it stays that way?
Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth) Michael was like a father to Andy. If he ever finds out that Phelan left to Michael to die we reckon he could well hunt him down and kill him…
