The Cruise has moved on since the days when Jane McDonald was singing on board the ship Galaxy.

Tourists are no longer content with a few stopovers on Caribbean islands – they’re now looking for a different experience, and the luxury liner Star Princess is catering to these new adventurers with a cruise to remote Alaska.

As this three-parter begins, shore excursions agent Timothy and new teammate Karen take a trip together on a fishing boat, while Captain Tuvo navigates as close as he can to the six-mile wide Hubbard Glacier so that passengers can witness the ‘calving’ glacier season, when chunks of ice spectacularly shear off into the sea – cue My Heart Will Go On background music…
