Doctors spoilers: Al Haskey is still haunted by the shock car crash

Doctors, Al Haskey

Al prepares to get behind the wheel of a car for the first time since the crash which killed Heston. But will Al have the courage to drive again?

Al Haskey got defensive when policeman Rob Hollins asked about the problems he's been having with driving, since the tragic car crash which killed Dr Heston Carter. But the truth is, Al has been suffering in silence, still haunted by the fact he was the one behind the wheel when the car carrying him, Heston and surgery practice manager Mrs Tembe skidded off the road.

Determined to beat his demons, Al gets behind the wheel again and tries to repeat some good advice given to him by co-worker Jimmi Clay. But as he goes to start the engine, will Al's nerves get the better of him?

Meanwhile, Sid Vere is getting geared-up ready for the table tennis tournament being held in Heston's memory. But Sid feels let down when his colleagues all seem to caught-up in their daily work schedules to join in the fun. Will Sid's table tennis tribute to Heston be a disaster?

Simon Timblick
Writer

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters.

Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave?

Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy.

He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
