Doctors spoilers: Sid Vere's family torn apart by baby bombshell!

Doctors, Sid Vere, Tye Vere, Estelle Vere

As more secrets surrounding the stillborn baby bombshell come to light, it leads to an angry confrontation between Sid and his parents...

At the start of this week, Sid Vere was ready to confront his mum Estelle and tell her to stop meddling in his love life. But now his world has been turned upside down by the discovery his mum gave birth to a stillborn baby two years before his own birth.

Having heard both Estelle and Tye's version of events about the baby, Laurence, that was born with severe disabilities, Sid finds it hard to put on a brave face and celebrate his dad's 60th birthday as if nothing has changed.

As another family argument brews, Sid feels betrayed by his parents and feels like everything they've ever told him has been a lie. After Estelle angrily slaps Sid, it looks like the SHOCK secret is going to tear the family apart...

Writer

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
