The final nine acts take to the stage for The Greatest Dancer live Challenge Shows

The final nine acts take to the stage as the live shows begin – and, for the first time, Oti Mabuse, Matthew Morrison and Cheryl’s teams are performing for YOUR votes!

We reckon street crew FroBacks (pictured above), contemporary dancers Company Jinks and Latin formation dancers KLA could be the ones to watch…

TV Times rating: ****

The Greatest Dancer - Oti Mabuse

Oti Mabuse

Dance captain Oti, 28, talks to TV Times about what to expect...

What can you tell us about your three acts?

Ellie is my Scottish princess and I am so proud of her.

She has the power to control the entire room just through dance.

KLA represent the Latin and ballroom world and are young and fresh. I think they’re the ones to watch!

The Globe Girls are fun, versatile and entertaining and they bring a different element to the show – and who doesn’t love a drag queen?

Does it worry you that viewers at home might not vote for the most technically gifted?

Sometimes being technically correct isn’t what connects with people.

Sometimes people just want to be entertained.

When you look at the ‘dad dancers’ [Dynamic Dads] earlier this series, they were not necessarily the best dancers but they got people clapping, they got people smiling.

It’s a beautiful thing to just share that positivity.

Outside of the competition, who do you think is ‘the greatest dancer’?

I come from the Latin and ballroom world, and we were all about promoting strong females.

And Shirley Ballas, who’s head judge on Strictly, was definitely one of them.

She’s one of the top female dancers who set the pathway for us to do what we do today.

Am I just saying that so I get 10s next series? Possibly…
