As Holby City medic Cameron Dunn struggles with the grief of losing his mum, Bernie Wolfe, Nicky becomes a much-needed shoulder to cry on…

Everyone at Holby City is reeling from last week's devastating news that much-loved colleague Bernie Wolfe has been killed while working as a medic on the frontline. And no one more so than Bernie's son, young doctor Cameron Dunn (Nic Jackman).

As Bernie's former partner Serena Campbell (Catherine Russell) and the Holby team prepare to hold a memorial to give Bernie a heartfelt send-off, it's clear that Cameron is struggling to handle the grief of losing his mum and hits the bottle.

As he battles with his emotions, friend and colleague Nicky McKendrick (Belinda Owusu) is there for some much-needed support. But it’s not long before they both cross a very awkward line…

Meanwhile, Dominic (David Ames) has been frosty towards Carole Copeland ever since finding out she’d hidden the truth that she’d adopted him and that his real mum was medic Ange Godard (Dawn Steele).

As Dom continues to reject Carole’s (Julia Deakin) attempts to talk to him, this week, she declares she’s quitting as Holby’s receptionist and moving abroad! Later, as Dom finally agrees to hear Carole out, can they reunite?

Also, Chloe’s desperate to cut all ties with Evan and wants to proceed with their divorce. But it’s clear he’s not letting her go without a fight – will Chloe be able to handle Evan’s mind games?

And Ric makes an error on a patient’s records – is he going senile?

Holby City continues Tuesdays at 8pm on BBC1.
