Alfie Nightingale and Yazz Maalik

Yazz Maalik and Alfie Nightingale shock their parents by revealing they're moving to the United States together! How will protective mums Misbah and Marnie react?

Yazz Maalik and Alfie Nightingale finally bite the bullet and tell their families that they’re off the United States.

Yazz (Haeisha Mistry) is the first one to tell her mum Misbah and the rest of the Maalik clan that she is moving to Washington DC to do her internship with Alfie (Richard Linnell). Her nearest and dearest seem delighted for her but later on, when the dust has settled and she is left alone, Yazz's mum Misbah breaks down in tears.

Misbah is devastated to hear Imran is planning to move abroad

Later on it’s Alfie’s turn as he meets up with Marnie, brother James and dad Mac to tell them about America. Marnie and James are pleased for him and congratulate him on the exciting news, however Mac is not so happy about the plans.

When the two of them are alone, Mac (David Easter) tries to guilt-trip Alfie into staying. He taunts his troubled son, saying he’s too young to know what he’s doing and belittles his previous relationship with Jade, cruelly saying it was just a case of puppy love. How will Alfie react and has an upset Yazz overheard their conversation?

Elsewhere, Jonny (Ray Quinn) tells Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) that he needs to get out of town because he’s got to go and train other barristas for his coffee-house empire. He asks Ste to look after The Bean in his absence but it’s clear that Jonny is up to something dodgy when he later books a hotel room under a different name. What's his game?

Plus, having secretly installed a dating app on Nancy’s phone, Kyle comes clean and tells Nancy (Jessica Fox) what he’s done and even convinces her she should go on a date with someone.

Nancy reluctantly agrees but when her date is a no show, her self-confidence plummets. Kyle (Adam Rickitt) feels terrible about his involvement and blames himself, but as he tries to comfort her there is a spark between him and Nancy. Could a new romance be on the cards for these two?
