When policeman Colby tries to shutdown his sister Bella's latest teenage tantrum, she lashes out violently leaving him bruised and bloody...

Summer Bay policeman Colby Thorne is becoming increasingly worried about his teenage sister Bella Nixon's bratty behaviour. Could she be starting down a dark path just like her dead dad, Ross?

Colby tries to ground Bella, after the schoolgirl snuck away to the Outback in the boot of Ziggy Astoni and Dean Thompson's car. But she's soon breaking the rules again to sneak out and give Dean a hard time about his new relationship with Ziggy, reminding him how his ex-girlfriend Willow Harris is going to feel when she finds out.

So how will both Willow and also Ziggy's estranged husband Brody Morgan handle what's happening with Dean and Ziggy?

Refusing to accept that Dean and Ziggy are right for each other, Bella kicks off again at the Surf Club. And when Colby arrives to take the trouble-maker home, she lashes out and whacks him with a ball from the pool table! Has Bella finally pushed Colby too far?

Elsewhere, Justin Morgan encourages his brother Brody to focus on his future with girlfriend Simone Bedford. So although Brody was initially reluctant to leave the Bay and his family behind, Simone is thrilled when Brody has a change of heart and books them flights to Melbourne to check out a new living/business opportunity.

It looks like they're on their way!

Home and Away continues weekdays at 1:15pm and 6:00pm on Channel 5

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
