Home and Away spoilers: Maggie Astoni collapses at the hospital!

Home and Away - Maggie Astoni, Ben Astoni

Maggie is stressed-out as her family continue to argue over her cancer treatment and collapses at the hospital. Will she be OK?

Ben is still reeling from his wife Maggie's decision to leave Summer Bay and travel to Europe to take part in a clinical trial for cancer.

Although Maggie's pushy mum Diana thinks the trial could help save her life, Ben is worried they don't know enough about the trial to make such a big decision. Hospital doc Tori warns Maggie she is not well enough to travel, but will the advice be enough to change Maggie's mind? As the Astoni family bicker among themselves about Maggie's cancer treatment, the stressed-out mum suddenly collapses in Ben's arms...

Elsewhere in the Bay, Robbo is out on bail as he awaits his trial, where he'll stand accused of fatally poisoning Hazel Easton. Seeing how Robbo is down on his luck, Justin agrees to help him look for evidence and track down evil Ebony who is the key to everything bad that has happened over the past few weeks.

Meanwhile, newlyweds Brody and Ziggy officially move in together as Mr and Mrs Morgan. But it looks like the couple could be heading for their first big bust-up when Brody does something stupid!

Home and Away continues weekdays at 1:15pm and 6:00pm on Channel 5

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters.

Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave?

Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy.

He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
