A pair of married assassins are hired to kill each other in this all-guns-blazing action yarn

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie put blistering star power and crackling chemistry as married assassins Mr & Mrs Smith in this fast and furious action thriller.

They play a pair of well-heeled suburbanites who are unaware after six years of marriage that they are in fact both ace assassins for rival agencies.

But after a botched job, their secret identities come to light when their respective bosses give them 48 hours to kill each other.

It's utterly ridiculous, of course, but the stars make it fly. Highlights include a great sequence in which their house is trashed, a superbly staged car chase and a cleverly executed all-guns-blazing finale.
