Scarlett claims she happens to be in Erinsborough as part of a country-wide tour, and also decided to visit because Ned spoke so highly of his hometown when the pair met at the airport in Sydney.

Scarlett is looking for a fresh start after breaking-up with her fiancee, so Ned offers to ask around Lassiters to see if there are any jobs going.

However, sinister Scarlett is one step ahead of Ned when she "accidentally" puts a Lassiters Hotel porter in hospital so she can nab his job and be close to Ned!

But how will Scarlett react when she discovers Ned has a girlfriend, Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer)?

Neighbours, Susan Kennedy, Mackenzie Hargreaves

Meanwhile at Erinsborough High School, the fallout continues after student Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone) was revealed as being transgender.

There have already been some negative reactions from parents and headteacher Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) is not impressed when conservative parent Angela Lane (Amanda Harrison) ambushes Susan to complain about Mackenze using the girls' toilets and changing rooms.

But things take a more alarming turn when Mackenzie discovers a threatening note in her school locker warning her not to use the girls' toilets or changing rooms... or else!

Neighbours continues weekdays at 1:45pm and 5:30pm on Channel 5

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!"
