Sonia has life-changing news for Tina

When Sonia is offered a new job away from Walford, she’s excited. But does she want to leave Tina and Bex behind?

Sonia reveals to Jane that she’s been offered a job opportunity away from the Square. There’s one problem though... She wants to go alone without Tina. Having doubts about leaving Bex, Sonia wonders whether to turn down the job - until Stacey offers to let Bex stay with her and Martin. When Tina assumes she and Sylvie can go with her, Sonia is left in an awkward position. She then gets it in the ear from Martin for abandoning Bex! Martin later apologises and encourages Sonia to go for it. Sonia tells a devastated Tina that she’s breaking up with her.

Carmel is on cloud nine, telling Denise that she and Masood are making a go of things. When Denise is surprised that Mas isn’t going abroad, Carmel is confident that he’s suggested he’s not going travelling. Denise later reveals that Masood is definitely renting out his house and going travelling, leaving Carmel upset.

Jane is worried for her marriage with Ian being increasingly distant from her. After insisting Ian talk about the relationship, pleading with Ian to treat her as he always used to, Jane has a shock. Ian confesses that he’s feeling at odds because Bobby’s told him he doesn’t want any visitors. Later, Ben calls a family meeting to tell everyone his plans to help Phil.
