Coronation Street LEGEND caught up in stabbing drama tonight

Tonight's Coronation Street sees Sally Metcalfe caught up in stabbing terror - but will she survive?

If you only do one thing tonight, make sure it is tuning in for the Coronation Street double bill to see Sally get confronted by her prison enemy Marcia.

Just when things were starting to look up for incarcerated Sally, tonight sees a tragic turn of events as cellmate Marcia attacks her with a knife.

Monday night's episode of Coronation Street saw Tim and Sophie celebrate after a police officer arrived on the cobbles to announce that Duncan had confessed to all his crimes, meaning Sally could be home by the end of the week.

But just when it looked like innocent Sally might be free at last, tonight's drama throws her future into jeopardy once again.

As Sally sits alone in her cell tonight, she's confronted by evil Marcia, a fellow prisoner who she got on the wrong side of when she arrived last year.

Marcia's problem with Sally goes back to when fellow Weatherfield resident Abi was also in jail, and Sally saved Abi from getting involved with Marcia's drugs drama.

Sally swiftly steps in and drags Abi away

Sally is vulnerable without Abi by her side in jail

Not taking kindly to Sally's interference, the pair have been at loggerheads ever since, something that wasn't that worrying when Sally had Abi in jail with her as backup.

But with Abi now back at home on the cobbles, Sally has been left to fend for herself in jail, and with Marcia as her new cellmate, things were never going to end well.

As Marcia attacks Sally tonight, there is terror for the Weatherfield legend as she realises her enemy is brandishing a knife - and her life is set to flash before her eyes as Marcia lunges at her with the weapon.

Could Sally be killed by Marcia when she is so close to getting out of prison, or will she survive the attack and get out of jail, far away from danger?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
