There's horror heading for the Astoni family in today's Home and Away when Ben's charged for international drug smuggling!

Summer Bay is in a state of shock after Ben Astoni was carted off by the police to be questioned about drug smuggling... and today's Home and Away sees the terrified dad charged for a crime he didn't commit.

The Astoni family are left terrified as Ben is kept in overnight at the police station for further questioning, but local police officer Colby Thorne is the bearer of bad news when he reveals all the leads and information that Ben has given them have turned out to be dead ends.

Ben is in a state of shock when the police show him images of his beloved boards with holes cut into the back of them and stuffed with drugs, but while he doesn't have any idea how the illegal substances got there, his name is on the contract and so he's in a whole world of trouble.

As Maggie fights to find some evidence that will free her husband, Ziggy is beside herself seeing her dad locked up for a crime he didn't commit.

But despite Ben being innocent, it seems all the evidence is pointing directly at him and the family are horrified when Colby tells him the AFP have decided to go ahead and charge him for international drug smuggling.

With his whole world crumbling around him, Ben is forced to say a sad farewell to Maggie and Ziggy before his finger prints are taken and he is marched back to his cell.

And just when it looks like things couldn't get any worse for the family who have found themselves torn apart, Colby delivers another shocking blow... Ben's Boards is being closed down while the investigation continues, which means no trading for there foreseeable.

But as Maggie tries to find her husband the best lawyer they can afford, there is a silver lining to the Astoni family heartache when all the drama makes Ziggy realise how much Dean means to her and she tells him she loves him.

Thankfully Dean feels the same way and the pair's romance seems to be heading for a bright future...  but with Ben locked up, things don't look good for the surfer at all.
