Peter McTighe had us on the edge of our sofas last year with The Pact season 1, a thrilling yarn about a death at a brewery. Tonight we’re back in Wales for a brand new six-part tale of secrets, lies and dark deals. BAFTA-winner Rakie Ayola played a cop in series one and is in excellent form in an entirely different role here, as Christine, a mother fighting to hold her family together when a stranger makes some bold claims. But is Christine as blameless as she seems? With a cast stuffed with Welsh talent, tonight’s episode sets plenty of hares running as we embark down a rabbit-hole of twists, turns and unexpected developments.

Get ready for more daft detection as Gemma (Sian Gibson) and Terry (Johnny Vegas), previously seen in comedies including Murder on the Blackpool Express and Dial M for Middlesbrough, tackle further bizarre cases. Tonight’s opener finds the ex-tour guides undercover on a survival course after the organizers receive death threats. One of the show’s joys is watching famous faces ham it up as murder suspects. This time around, Tamzin Outhwaite and Outnumbered’s Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner are among those in the frame. Continues tomorrow and Wednesday.

As the powerful true story reaches its penultimate episode, there’s a trial date set for the members of far-right group National Action and reformed racist Matthew Collins (Stephen Graham) is focused on keeping informer Robbie Mullen safe. But it comes at a cost. The police reveal that Matthew’s sons have been threatened. Did Robbie tip off his old mates in the terrorist group of the family’s whereabouts? Look out for a cameo from Mrs Brown’s Boys’ Brendan O’Carroll as Matthew’s Uncle Ronnie, a brief moment of comedic light

The House Across The Street, 9 pm, Channel 5

The sinister drama starring Shirley Henderson and Craig Parkinson takes some surprising turns, as an increasingly lonely and troubled Claudia continues to relish being at the heart of the investigation into Emily Winter’s murder. Not only does she make a worrying discovery about English teacher George’s past, but she also becomes suspicious of her neighbour, Joanne, after discovering she was the last person to see Emily alive. Things become even creepier when Claudia manages to worm her way into the lives of Emily’s grieving parents, Owen and Sabine. But her obsession with them comes at a huge personal cost when there’s a shock arrest. Concludes tomorrow…

Gangs of London Season 2, Sky Atlantic/NOW

In the second season of this hard-hitting crime drama, we pick up the action one year later to find all is not well with undercover cop Eliot Finch (Sope Dirisu), now working as an assassin for "the investors". Back in London, Alex Dumani (The Capture’s Paapa Essiedu) is heading up Dumani Finance, while his sister Shannon (Pippa Bennett-Warner), who grew close to Eliot, is still in jail.

And as we are introduced to a new Algerian gang, it transpires that someone is selling guns without the permission of the people who run the underworld. Waleed Zuaiter joins the cast as the terrifying enforcer Koba. The action scenes are violent but brilliantly choreographed.
