The Piano, 9pm, Channel 4
Prepare to be dazzled by raw talent (and get misty-eyed, too) as this lovely series puts the pianos that have been cropping up in public places to very good use. Filmed at busy stations Leeds, Glasgow Central, Birmingham and starting with St Pancras in London, we see amateur pianists including 93-year-old Harry and 11-year-old Ilya turn up to play and chat to host Claudia Winkleman.
Little do they realise that watching in secret are world-famous Chinese pianist Lang Lang and pop sensation Mika, who will invite a chosen few to perform at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Uplifting and guaranteed to inspire plenty of potential pianists!

This week, Stacey and her gang are off to East Grinstead in West Sussex to help out Aimee and Stuart Daniels and their children Darcie, Rex and Mollie. Stacey is initially pleased to see that the front door actually opens (presumably unlike some of the houses they visit), but once inside they find loads of clutter.
‘There’s a whole house worth of stuff here!’ says carpenter Rob Bent when they peek into the garage, and he’s not wrong – Aimee and Stuart stored everything from their old flat in here and have never got round to moving it. Can Stacey help them to get rid of two-thirds of their possessions once it’s in the warehouse?

The Catch, 9 pm, Channel 5
We’ll be honest, it’s not looking good for Ed (Jason Watkins) in the final episode of this psychological thriller based on TM Logan’s novel. He’s been framed for murder and the ‘evidence’ against him is mounting up – and now that he’s gone into hiding, the police are further convinced of his guilt.
And while we were led to believe that Ed’s troubles began with the arrival of Ryan (Aneurin Barnard), the new boyfriend of his daughter, Abbie (Poppy Gilbert), it’s clear that there is something very troubling in the past that Ed has kept a secret – until now. ‘Whatever it is,’ says his wife Claire (Cathy Belton), ‘it’s finally caught up with him.’ But can Ed work out who’s framing him before it’s too late?

Secret Life of the Forest, 8 pm, Channel 5
After a first series chronicling a year in Northumberland’s Kielder Forest, cameras move to Dalby and Cropton Forests in North Yorkshire for this new eight-part documentary. Spring has turned to summer as the series opens, bringing a burst of energy to the local wildlife, including a colony of beavers that were reintroduced in 2019. In the human world, work begins on the world’s largest drystone wall maze, and bird conservationists try to track down the elusive nightjar.

Then, when a night out at an elite members’ club ends in tragedy, Joe finds himself embroiled in a murder-mystery. Has the hunter become the hunted?
