Emmerdale: Tom's killer revealed in May

Fans of Emmerdale will have to contain their curiosity for a little while longer as Tom King's murderer will be dramatically revealed... in May. The one-hour special, packed with calamity, cat fights and confessions, will even feature opera superstar Katherine Jenkins. The diva will open the village's pageant, but the happy day is scuppered when Katie (Sammy Winward) and Jo (Roxanne Pallett) have a row during the beauty contest. "I'm a huge fan of Emmerdale and so I jumped at the opportunity to appear in the show," said 26-year-old Katherine. "I'm really excited about filming my scenes next month." Producer Kathleen Beedles is thrilled with the upcoming storyline. "We're really excited about this episode, which is bursting with drama, comedy and heartbreak," she explained. "It's a fitting climax to the Tom King storyline which has surpassed all our expectations and become one of the greatest soap murder mysteries ever." The hunt for Tom King's killer has been running since Christmas Day 2006 when the millionaire businessman was murdered (with a blunt instrument, in Home Farm) on his wedding day and it seems most of the village has a motive for the killing. The storyline has truly captured Emmerdale fans' imagination. The Who Killed Tom King? website at www.itv.com/emmerdale has now attracted 122,000 users all trying to solve the mystery - and win a holiday.
