From starring in Carry On films to ruling the roost in EastEnders, Dame Barbara Windsor is showbiz royalty, but this compelling biopic reveals there's far more to her than saucy giggles and Peggy Mitchell.

Samantha Spiro and Jaime Winstone (both a revelation) portray the older and younger versions of the star as the drama, spanning the 1940s to the early 1990s, explores the break-up of her parents’ marriage and her relationship with first husband Ronnie Knight, while her early stage career with director Joan Littlewood (Zoë Wanamaker) also comes under the spotlight.

Look out for a couple of cameos from the real Barbara. A must-see for all Babs fans!
