Dr. Browning is shocked when an unwanted visitor, 'Cassandra' - aka Claire - turns up at his door. She's desperately trying to find the ransom note she sent and when Browning finally sees it, he's sure 'Cassandra' knows more than she's letting on. Jacqui and the McQueens beg John Paul to withdraw his statement to protect Phoebe. However, Jim reveals it's too late - she's already got a court date. Meanwhile, Phoebe finds comfort in a bottle of vodka...
It's the morning after for Diane and Tony, both unsure how they feel about last night and Tony questions where his heart truly lies. After an awkward meeting in the village they arrange another date. But when Jacqui turns up in the pub later, Tony's attention is immediately diverted and Diane knows she was foolish to hope.
Sienna is sure something's wrong with Nancy and her first thoughts are that she's having an affair. Later, Nancy drops her pills just as Sienna and Darren walk in to see her scooping them off the floor. Sienna offers Nancy a sounding-board to talk about her problems, but she starts to see that all Nancy cares about is her job and memories of Sienna's own negligent mother flood back.
Also, Phoebe worries over her uncertain future.
