The severity of her illness hits Sinead Tinker hard in Coronation Street as she is forced to use a wheelchair to get to a family picnic in Wednesday's first episode (7.30pm, see our TV Guide for full listings).

Daniel, Sinead, Beth, Kirk and Craig enjoy the picnic in Victoria Garden but as Sinead tries to join a game of charades it is evident she is too poorly and needs to be taken home in Coronation Street.

As Faye struggles to look after Lily and Harry, while Shona and Sarah are out for birthday drinks, Max arrives home in a filthy mood. Shona and Sarah return home to find Max and Lily rowing over the telly. Suddenly there’s a crash and Harry is knocked unconscious so Shona calls an ambulance. Sarah heads off to hospital with Harry.

Meanwhile Shona turns on Max, blaming him for Harry’s injury. Max explains to Shona how it was Lily who pushed Harry over, not him. How will Shona react?

Yasmeen and Geoff find themselves run off their feet at Speed Daal and Geoff suggests they should buy into the business as they’re doing all the hard work anyway. Ali approaches Toyah for some unofficial advice. Bethany and James go for a run, but Bethany blocks his path for a laugh causing him to fall and hurt his ankle.
