Everyone seems to be on Al's case today. So he decides to tell a few creative lies to avoid having to deal with them. But will his lies backfire?

It's not a good day for Dr Al Haskey. It starts off with the medic Al arguing on the phone with Darren Briggs who wants his money back for a 'faulty' drone Al sold.

Meanwhile, surgery practice manager Becky Clarke still thinks Al is attending the meditation sessions with Jimmi Clay he agreed to, after his angry showdown with the tourist bus driver. However, because he's off to meet Darren Briggs about the drone, Al decides to try and cancel his session with Jimmi. But will Becky find out what sneaky Al is up to?

Ayesha has some advice for Becky (Picture: BBC)

Meanwhile, nurse Ayesha Lee meets patient Carly Crabtree for an asthma check-up. Carly has recently had gastric band surgery and is delighted with the results. Ayesha asks if Carly would share her story with Becky – it's a confidence-boosting moment for her.

Still annoyed by Becky's 'obesity bashing', Ayesha wants to use Carly as an example that every patient is unique – there is no 'one size fits all' and she has to trust the clinicians to know when a person is ready to accept advice on their weight and when they aren’t. How will Becky react to Ayesha's advice?

Writer

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters.

Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave?

Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy.

He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
