Doctors Spoilers: Mrs Tembe and Ayesha interview for a new nurse

Mrs Tembe and Ayesha welcome a new nurse to the surgery - but which of the interview candidates has got what it takes?

With nurse Tasha off traveling in India, Mrs Tembe and Ayesha start interviewing for a replacement nurse. The first candidate, Sara Prendergast, seems to be qualified for the job. But alarm bells ring for Mrs Tembe and Ayesha when Sara jokes that she likes to avoid sick people and is usually hungover in the mornings! Will the second candidate, Penny Stevenson, be an improvement?

After a dramatic few weeks back together, it looks like it is the end of the road again for Jimmi and Amanda as his ex-wife prepares to leave Letherbridge and rebuild her life elsewhere.

Jimmi's offer of £80,000 still stands and he reminds Amanda how she helped him out when he was younger, and now it is his turn to pay her back. But what will Amanda decide to do?

Doctors continues weekdays at 1:45pm on BBC 1

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
