Emmerdale spoilers: Matty Barton thinks Victoria has the hots for David

Emmerdale, Victoria Barton, Matty Barton, David Metcalfe

Matty gets the wrong idea when he sees Victoria and David flirting and thinks she fancies David, unaware of how Victoria really feels.

Things got a bit awkward between Victoria and her good friend/brother-in-law Matty after there was a moment between the pair up at the cricket pavillion recently.

Matty is unaware Victoria has been in a right old muddle about her feelings towards him. So when he witnesses some flirty banter between Victoria and David in the village cafe, he jumps to the conclusion Victoria must fancy David. Could the misunderstanding ruin the chance of anything happening between Matty and Victoria?

Meanwhile, Lachlan returns to the village after his holiday. But he flies into a panic when he discovers Angelica, April, Heath, Cathy and Arthur have been out in the woods investigating. Worried that his captive aunt Rebecca's whereabouts will be discovered and she'll be rescued and expose his killer secrets to the police, the desperate lad rushes off to Rebecca...

Simon Timblick
Writer

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
