Nicole Owen, the sister of Russ Owen, returns to Chester after 13 years away. What has brought her back out of the blue?

A familiar face, Nicole Owen (Ciara Janson), returns to Hollyoaks after receiving a worrying call from her nephew Max Owen.

Nicole, the sister of Russ who was brutally murdered on his wedding day to Mercedes McQueen by secret serial killer Breda McQueen, has come to check up on her young relative and is on hand to comfort him when he tells her that Mercedes doesn’t love him and he feels like second best to her son Bobby.

How will Mercedes react when Max announces he wants to leave Chester and live with his aunty?

Meanwhile Stuart Sumner’s son Sid arrives at Hollyoaks High and immediately starts making racist comments to Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana).

The Maaliks are subjected to more racial abuse and taunts

Sid later asks headmistress Sally St Claire (Annie Wallace) if he can talk to her about Imran and Sally is extremely disturbed by what she hears.

Elsewhere Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) meets with her estranged husband Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) to tell him about Brooke and Ollie’s plans to have sex for the first time.

Plus Kyle Kelly (Adam Rickitt) has got to impress Tony Hutchinson with his idea to start a food delivery service for The Hutch. Darren is roped into doing a test run on a push bike only to discover the food is stone-cold upon delivery. Will Tony pull the plug on Kyle’s enterprise before it even gets off the starting blocks?
