Home and Away spoilers: Brody Morgan tells wife Ziggy the SHOCK truth about his parents' deaths

Home and Away, Brody Morgan, Ziggy Morgan

Puzzled by her hubby Brody's snapish behaviour, Ziggy is stopped in her tracks when Brody finally reveals the truth about the day his parents died...

Ziggy Morgan is still confused why her husband Brody snapped at her, after she made a joke about him being mum-in-law Maggie Astoni's "golden child".

Brody makes it clear Maggie is not his mum, he isn't trying to replace his late mum Kate with Maggie, as his younger brother Mason has accused him of doing.

In a heartfelt moment, Brody finally reveals what's been bothering him, and shares with Ziggy the heartbreaking story of what really happened the day his parents Kate and Koby died...

Elsewhere in the Bay, teenager Ryder Jackson is still bored and goes looking for new buddy Dean Thompson. However, Ryder's "grumps" Alf Stewart isn't at all keen on Ryder hanging out with dodgy Dean, especially as Dean is now doing Community Service because of his criminal activity in Summer Bay.

But with Ryder unhappy and feeling like he's been abandoned by those closest to him, including friends Raffy Morrison and Coco Astoni, what can Alf and family friend Leah Patterson do to keep Ryder out of trouble?

Meanwhile, Ryder's ex-girlfriend Coco is throwing herself back into her studies after her school grades began to slip. But when she hears how Ryder has been getting into trouble, she can't help but feel guilty that their recent break-up has thrown him off course. What can Coco do to help Ryder?

Home and Away continues weekdays at 1:15pm and 6:00pm on Channel 5

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
