Home and Away spoilers: Karen Thompson does a runner from the Bay!

Home and Away, Dean Thompson, Karen Thompson

After trying to hit on policeman Colby, troubled Karen continues to refuse a psych assessment and instead hitch-hikes out of Summer Bay...

With John Palmer still refusing to drop the charges, Dean Thompson's mum Karen is in big trouble with the police for the almost hit-and-run incident outside the Surf Club.

However, Karen just seems to be making things worse for herself by trying to hit on Dean's policeman buddy Colby Thorne, then refusing to have a psych assessment over her reckless behaviour.

Afraid that Colby and Dean are conspiring to get her to see a psychiatrist, Karen decides to flee Summer Bay...

Elsewhere, word gets around about Tori Morgan and Robbo's IVF plans. But when Tori's brother Justin spies Robbo giving Tori's hospital colleague Jasmine Delaney a warm embrace in the gym, he wonders what's going on between the pair.

When Justin voices his suspicions to Tori, she worries there could be a chance for romance between Robbo and Jasmine. But instead, she is asking him to sign on the dotted line and have a child with her.

Should Tori stand back and release Robbo from their legal paperwork so he can give romance a try with Jasmine?

Home and Away continues weekdays at 1:15pm and 6:00pm on Channel 5

Writer

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
