Home and Away spoilers: Will Dean accept a SURPRISE offer from Rick?

Home and Away, Rick Booth, Dean Thompson

Dean's in for a surprise when his hated dad Rick attempts to make amends and offers to help him and his mum Karen out. But can Rick be trusted?

Dean Thompson (played by Patrick O'Connor) vowed he wanted nothing to do with his long-lost dad Rick Booth (Mark Lee) on Home and Away, after he first went in search of him last year and Rick offered him money to stay away.

However, Rick has unexpectedly reappeared in Dean's life in Summer Bay, because of his half-sister Mackenzie Booth's (Emily Weir) attempts to blackmail politician Rick for a cool $100,000.

The blackmail demand has caused tension between Dean and Mackenzie. So, secretly looking to take advantage of their fallout, Rick approaches Dean and attempts to make amends for abandoning both Dean and his mum Karen all those years ago.

But what will Dean do when Rick claims he wants to give their relationship another go and offers to help set Karen up financially when she gets out of the hospital where she is being treated for mental health issues.

Is Rick to be trusted?

Meanwhile, Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher) has to play peacekeeper between his daughter Roo (Georgie Parker) and his grandson Ryder Jackson (Lukas Radovich) following their BIG row in the Diner.

Schoolteacher Roo wants Ryder to focus on his school studies so he'll do well in his HSC exams and can go to university. But instead Ryder is planning to take a job at local restaurant Salt before he's even finished school.

However, will Roo, who was a right teenage tearaway at his age, eventually come around to seeing things from Ryder's point of view and agree to support his decision to work at Salt?
