Neighbours spoilers: Divorce for Mark Brennan and Elly Conway?

Neighbours, Elly Conway

Mark has served Elly with annulment papers after his angry bust-up with the other fella Shaun. But will Elly try and fight to save her marriage?

Elly Conway is still reeling from husband Mark Brennan's delivery of marriage annulment papers.

Mark's angry and very public showdown with Shaun Watkins, the REAL father of Elly's unborn baby, has tipped him over the edge. Now it looks like there's no turning back for the couple's marriage.

Having previously cheated on Mark with his sister Chloe, followed by her one-night stand with Shaun plus all the lies she told to cover-up the truth about her pregnancy, is there any point in Elly trying to fight to save her marriage? Will she give in to Mark's request?

But that's not the only thing father and son are going to clash over. Gary's engagement to Amy Williams is back ON. But it means Amy must deliver the heartbreaking news to Kyle that she doesn't want to get back together with him, despite his recent declaration of love. Poor Kyle!

Meanwhile, things take an unexpected turn in Shane Rebecchi's search for con woman Andrea Somers, who may be able to reveal more about the possibility that Shane's brother Toadie's first wife Dee is STILL ALIVE!

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
