Laurel is stressed to the max following the incident with Arthur, which saw her dementia sufferer husband Ashley leave their son in A&E after forgetting he’d taken him in. As the police got involved, social services have now intervened and told the vicar he’s no longer able to look after Arthur alone. To make matters worse, Ashley has forgotten it even happened. Seeing his daughter is in a state, Doug arranges for Laurel to have a much-needed night out on the town with Nicola.
