Jamil and India head to halls and just as Jamil looks set to make a revelation, she kisses him. The students return home and discover they've been robbed and when Jamil and India emerge from the bedroom a huge row kicks off. But Jamil's just delighted that he's lost his virginity. As Jem nurses Doug after his attack, he reveals that he didn't see his attacker. As Doug and Jamil turn on a confused Kevin, the penny drops for Jem; it was Carl. The students wonder what they really know about Kevin, so Doug breaks into the student record office and reads Kevin's documents in disbelief. Ravi reveals that he's sorted out a licence to sell alcohol. Business is booming, until the customers start to complain about the drink and demand their money back. He knows he has to give in. Also, Jem confronts Carl, but he refuses to defend himself. When Heidi tells Jem that they're trying to get on with life she reprimands her for accusing Carl. Jem realises she needs to make amends. Leanne sees Lee texting Amy and is clearly put out. He's amused by her jealousy and suggests they go out. When they return to halls, Leanne panics; her engagement ring's gone. His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK. He has produced TV news and entertainment features on personalities as diverse as Nick Cave, Tom Hardy, Clive James, Jodie Marsh and Kevin Bacon and he co-produced and directed The Ponds, which has screened in UK cinemas, BBC Four and is currently available on Netflix. 

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
