This Coronation Street favourite in shock ARSONIST twist!
Hope Stape is trapped in new factory horror
Hope Stape finds herself in a dreadful blaze in Coronation Street next week – and the big question is did she start the fire? And, if so, why? Is she a killer in waiting?
The troubled schoolgirl, who has only recently returned with mum Fiz (played by Jennie McAlpine) from Birmingham, becomes trapped in the factory, which is ablaze.
The drama starts when Hope, who's been suffering from major behavioural problems, disappears unnoticed by Fiz and Tyrone (Alan Halsall), who are at each other’s throats.
When the pair realise that Hope is gone, they call the police. Meanwhile, Ali and Maria are heading out when they hear Hope’s screams for help coming from the factory...
They cannot believe their eyes when they see Hope surrounded by burning boxes. Ali then shows off his brave side by ploughing through the smoke in a bid to save Hope.
Ali successfully rescues the upset child, who’s quickly reunited with a relieved Fiz and Tyrone. But the big question remains – who started the fire? Was it Hope?

Well, the police question Hope and she claims to have seen two boys fleeing the scene. However, Tyrone quickly twigs that Hope is lying. Will he leap to the obvious conclusion? His little girl is an arsonist!
Fiz, though, believes her daughter’s tearful claims that she didn’t start the blaze. She decides that home schooling might be best for Hope, although Tyrone isn't convinced it's a good idea.
So, what’s the truth? And, if Hope didn’t start the fire, who did?
Coronation Street continues on ITV.
