Home and Away's John Palmer is set to find his life on the line today...
Today's Home and Away will see John Palmer in serious danger as his car swerves off the road and crashes into a tree after he falls asleep at the wheel. But will be live to tell the tale?
For weeks John has been burning the candle at both ends as he fights to keep his businesses afloat while dashing back to the city to be there for son Jett.
Marilyn and John were left devastated when Jett was left with a life-long spinal injury after being caught up in an explosion as he served with the army in Afghanistan.
But as Jett struggled to come to terms with the fact he would be spending the rest of his life in a wheelchair, the pair have fought to help him keep some independence and supported his decision to move into his own place in the city.
However with Jett still getting his head around the tragic turn his life has taken, John has been dividing his time between Summer Bay and the city so he can be there for his son, putting pressure on his marriage with Marilyn and exhausting himself at the same time.
But despite Marilyn's warnings in today's Home and Away that he is taking on too much, John fails to listen to her advice and ends up putting his life on the line.
He comes home for a flying visit after Ryder tells him that he can't do his shifts at the juice bar because he needs to do school work.
Failing to find someone to cover the shift, John fills in himself, leaving him shattered at the end of the day.

But when John falls asleep on the sofa he wakes the following morning desperate to race back to the city, knowing that he is going to miss an appointment he promised to take Jett to.
But as he fights his tiredness on the road, things take a tragic turn when John falls asleep at the wheel of his car and crashes into a tree.
Will anyone find John before it is too late? Or has his determination to try and do everything left him in grave danger?
