Notorious serial killer returns to Emmerdale TONIGHT
There's trouble heading for Emmerdale when a terrifyingly familiar face comes back to haunt one village resident...
Tonight's Emmerdale will send chills down fans' spines as serial killer Lachlan White makes his long-awaited return to the soap. But does this mean Belle is in danger?
Over the last few weeks viewers have watched as Belle Dingle has been targeted by sinister messages and gifts - all of which she was convinced were from her former boyfriend, Lachlan.
But with the small matter of Lachlan being locked up for murdering four people, the police failed to take Belle's claims that the killer was up to his old tricks seriously.
But last night saw Belle left heartbroken when her beloved pet pig Gloria was needlessly murdered - leaving her more convinced that ever that the sinister happenings were down to her ex.
Tonight's trip to Emmerdale sees Belle go and visit Lachlan in jail, determined to confront him about his continued torment... but will it be a visit she will live to regret making?
Having been in jail since September, Lachlan has had plenty of time to reflect on his sins. But if he is responsible for Belle's unsettling incidences, what has made him get in touch now?

As the pair come face-to-face, Belle has Sam by her side for moral support. But as you can see from the clip above, Belle's clearly terrified at the thought of seeing the man she once loved again.
What happens at their meeting in tonight's episode is a closely guarded secret, and fans will have to tune in at 7pm to find out more. But one thing we do know is that this isn't the last we have seen of the notorious killer.
Spoilers have revealed that after Belle leaves the prison visit, Lachlan will be seen making a sinister phone call to someone on the outside.
So does this mean he is the one who has been orchestrating the terrifying deeds that have been happening to Belle?
And who has he got working for him in the village?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
